As I prepare to host Orphaned Earring Parties I’m trying out different dishes to serve my guests. I have to make sure that I keep it simple, but that’s never the case with me, I really enjoy experimenting and combining ingredients and flavors and see what I can make - especially for people that want to help The Orphaned Earring! It’s almost like music, the combination of musical notes and timing (ingredients in my case) can deliver a symphony of delicious flavors.
What do you think of the dishes below?
Tostada: Blended Black beans, Jennie-O Ground Turkey with McCorminck Taco Seasoning, Avocados from Mexico, cabbage salad with vinegar, lime and salt, Queso Cotija rayado.
DTLA inspired Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs, topped with grilled red, green and yellow bell peppers and onions. Of course you must have Heinz ketchup, French’s yellow mustard and jalapenos!
Traditional Central American meal, Gallo pinto, queso frito, eggs and avocados.
Lomo asado (pork), slowly oven roasted seasoned with lots of garlic, achiote paste and lime, on a bed of white rice and topped with diced cucumber, onions, tomatoes, salt and lemon juice.
