5 Low-Cal Sweet Treats for Post Baby Body Care
The struggle is real! That craving you get before bedtime that leads you to savagely attack your pantry for anything sweet, hoping you find some hidden chocolate bar to satisfy the sugar monster within you, is sooo real! Now that I'm trying to loose some weight post baby, I've had to plan my meals ahead of time to avoid packing on more pounds because, for health reasons, I really can't afford that now.
I've found comfort and satisfaction with these flavorful, low-calorie treats that can please any palate:
My weakness is ice-cream but that's the one treat that can pack on the pounds. I've switched to non-fat frozen yogurt and low-cal sorbet, but even then the calories can creep up. I recently I tried ARCTIC ZERO® and I'm hooked. At only 75 calories per serving, the Brownie Blast from the chunky pint selection is my absolute favorite.
Created by a man that had family's health in mind, he created this delicious alternative that is low glycemic, lactose free and GMO free. Made with hormone-free whey protein and sweetened with low-calorie monk fruit, ARCTIC ZERO® desserts are nutrition-packed to help you stay on track and be your best.
So whether you’re looking for a post-workout snack, watching your weight or following a special diet, these handcrafted desserts are the perfect way to taste the sweet life with zero guilt.
CHOCOLATE CHIA PUDDING
A chocolate chia pudding is not only tasty but a decadent-tasting yet healthy treat packed with protein, fiber, and omega-3 fatty acids; a pudding you can feel good about! When blended with the almond milk, the texture is a cross between a smoothie and a pudding.I prefer to leave the chia seeds with a liquid of my choice in the fridge over night but if you add ice cubes it's a treat you can enjoy immediately without waiting for it to chill.
You can try several flavors and ingredients: almond or coconut milk, cinnamon, honey, raisins, mashed bananas, berries, etc. You can pick, choose and combine for a different tasty treat each time.
FROZEN GRAPES
Get a cupful of sweet seedless grapes and freeze and your done - as simple as that!
CHOCOLATE COVERED BANANAS OR STRAWBERRIES
You can dip 1/2 frozen banana or a small cup of strawberries in 2 teaspoons of melted dark chocolate chips. Takes the chocolate craving away and gives you the needed sweetness.
GRILLED PINEAPPLE SLICE + TOASTED COCONUT ARCTIC ZERO
A simple yet delish treat! Cut a 2 1/4-inch thick pineapple rounds, grill or sautée it for 2 minutes or until golden. Top it with a large scoop of Toasted Coconut ice cream from Arctic Zero.
I've learned that you can still enjoy food and life by simply making better choices. I was gifted ARCTIC ZERO ice cream pints for a honest review and I'm happy I did - they are a keeper.
